Cod Loins

Cod Loins are a prime cut from the thickest section of the cod fish. These pieces are mild and delicate with a buttery mouthfeel. Sealand's whole Cod Loins are thick, tender, and firm in texture. These loins are also a delicious source of lean protein. They can be prepared in a variety of ways to maximize flavour, including on the grill or in the oven.

Were amazing on the barbecue with a light seasoning and brushed grape seed oil. Served on a salad seasoned with dill. Big hit! Texture of the fish was perfect.

Best Ways to Cook

We recommend that all our fish products be thawed out of packaging for 24 hours in the refrigerator prior to cooking (unless otherwise stated). Whether choosing to thaw inside or outside of the packaging, please place in a dish to thaw. And why not try one of these simple cooking methods. INDIVIDUAL APPLIANCE TEMPERATURE MAY VARY THE COOKING TIME. USE CAUTION AS PRODUCT WILL BE HOT!


How to Grill Cod

Preheat BBQ to medium heat and brush grill grates with olive oil. Pat dry thawed cod loins. Rub with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Place on grill and close lid. Cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature at the thickest part of the fish reaches 145°F. Serve with lemon and fresh herbs.
Pan Fry

How to Air Fry Cod

Preheat air fryer to 360°F. Pat dry thawed cod loins. Add seasoning and cook for 6-8 minutes (flipping halfway through) or until the internal temperature of the cod reaches 145°F. The fish should be golden and flake easily with a fork.

Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on the method of preparation and the thickness of the fish. Test for doneness with a meat thermometer.
