Best Ways to Cook

We recommend that all our meat products be thawed out of packaging for 24 hours in the refrigerator prior to cooking (unless otherwise stated). Whether choosing to thaw inside or outside of the packaging, please place in a dish to thaw. Here at Sealand Quality Foods, our meat is extremely lean, saving you up to 20% cooking time. Give one of these simple cooking methods a try today. INDIVIDUAL APPLIANCE TEMPERATURE MAY VARY THE COOKING TIME. USE CAUTION AS PRODUCT WILL BE HOT!

Pan Fry

How to Pan Fry Lamb Chops

Season thawed lamb chops with any desired herbs and spices. Preheat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of cooking oil and heat until it shimmers. Add the lamb chops to the pan and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness. Adjust the cooking time based on your preference and the thickness of the chops. Avoid moving or flipping the lamb chops too frequently to allow a golden crust to form.

Use tongs to flip the chop instead of piercing it with a fork, as this can cause the juices to escape. Once the lamb chops reach the desired doneness (see internal temperature guide below), transfer them to a plate and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Air Fry

How to Air Fry Lamb Chops

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Remove the thawed lamb chops from their packaging and season as desired. Lightly oil the air fryer basket and add the lamb chops. Air fry for 7-9 minutes for medium-rare, flipping once halfway through. Once the lamb chops reach the desired doneness (see internal temperature guide below), transfer them to a plate and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Internal Temperature Guidelines for Cooking Lamb Chops

Your lamb chops will continue to cook and rise a further 5-10°F while resting To accurately check the temperature, measure with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat. Below are the internal temperatures for lamb by doneness:

Medium-rare: 145°F
Medium: 160°F
Well done: 170°F

Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on the method of preparation and your desired degree of doneness. Test for doneness with a meat thermometer.
