Best Ways to Cook

We recommend that all our seafood products be thawed out of packaging for 24 hours in the refrigerator prior to heating (unless otherwise stated). These crab clusters come pre-cooked, meaning all that's left for you to do is thaw, heat, and serve. Give one of these simple heating methods a try today. INDIVIDUAL APPLIANCE TEMPERATURE MAY VARY THE COOKING TIME. USE CAUTION AS PRODUCT WILL BE HOT!

Steam

How to Steam Crab Clusters

Fill a large pot with 1-2 inches of water and bring it to a boil. Place a steaming basket or colander in the pot, making sure it's not under the water. Carefully place the crab cluster in the steaming basket or colander and cover the pot with a lid. Steam the crab for 5-7 minutes until they're heated through (varies depending on their size and thickness). You will know they are done when they are hot to the touch and you can smell their aroma. Remove the crab legs from the pot with tongs or a slotted spoon.
Bake

How to Bake Crab Clusters

Preheat oven to 375°F. Place the crab legs in a large baking dish or roasting pan. Melt a stick of butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and your favourite herbs, such as parsley or dill, and stir to combine. Pour the butter mixture over the crab, making sure each leg is coated. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the oven. Bake the crab for 15-20 minutes (varies depending on their size and thickness), or until they're heated through.

Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on the method of preparation and your desired degree of doneness. Test for doneness with a meat thermometer.

*Chef's Tip: Cut along the two edges where the white part of the shell meets the red part of the shell and then peel back the white to expose the meat.
