This easy cheesy meatball casserole features tender Sealand meatballs baked in marinara with garlic, tomatoes, pesto, and plenty of melty cheese — a cozy, crowd-pleasing dish perfect for weeknight dinners or family comfort meals.
In a 9 inch oval oven safe dish, or an 8 inch dish, add the frozen meatballs.
Place the dish in the oven and cook the meatballs for 20 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven, the meatballs will be slightly golden and cooked through.
Mix the garlic and oregano into your favourite marinara sauce (homemade or store-bought).
Add the tomatoes and pour the marinara all over the casserole.
Make sure to cover al the meatballs with the sauce.
Dollop some basil pesto all over the top of the marinara sauce.
Top the casserole with the cheese generously.
Place the casserole back into the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes more minutes until the cheese is melted and the meatballs have soaked some of the marinara sauce.
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil.
