Pickerel fillets

I found the skin gives the pickerel fishy taste, but that’s why I have a handy hubby, he takes the skin off and it’s perfect for me and he likes it with skin in.
We have had it twice already and look forward to it again. Thank you

Grill

How to Grill Pickerel

Preheat BBQ to medium heat and brush grill grates with olive oil. Pat dry thawed pickerel fillets. Rub with olive oil and season with sea salt and pepper to taste. Place on grill, skin side down and close lid. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature at the thickest part of the fish reaches 145°F. Serve with lemon and fresh herbs.
Air Fry

How to Air Fry Pickerel

Preheat air fryer to 400°F and spray basket with oil. Add seasoning and cook for 10-12 minutes (flipping halfway through) or until the internal temperature of the pickerel reaches 145°F. The fish should be golden and flake easily with a fork.

Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on the method of preparation and the thickness of the fish. Test for doneness with a meat thermometer.
