Wicked marbling

The steaks arrived thawed due to lackluster performance by Purolator Couriers taking 3 days for an overnight delivery. No fault whatsoever of Sealand. Looking at them, the marbling was astonishing. These folks sell quality goods!

Wonderful Wagyu ribeyes

Extravagant? Yes. Worth every cent? Yes! My only criticism is that they should be thicker. How about a "thick cut" option? I would propose double the provided thickness. Would propose 4-6 "thick cut" steaks in a box. Same cost, same amount of protein in each box. Overall, wonderfully tender, flavorful steaks.

Thank you for taking the time to review and send us your feedback! We have sent your recommendations in and we will see what we can do about thicker cut steaks in a box!

Ultimately The Best

Not a meat eater...don't even know know what kind of beef cut is what, nor the best way to cook it....changing my diet to include red meat. I thought I would spoil myself and try what is supposedly considered the best steaks to start off my red meat journey. I ended up cooking it well-done (not really intentionally) and OMG, it still literally melted in my mouth...and the flavour was beyond awesome. I will eventually treat myself again. Without a doubt it's worth the extra $$'s. I will take quality over quantity, any day, when it comes to food.

Love this! If you're going to start including red meat into your diet, Wagyu is the way to go!

Best Ways to Cook

We recommend that all our beef products be thawed out of packaging for 24 hours in the refrigerator and brought to room temperature prior to cooking (unless otherwise stated). Whether choosing to thaw inside or outside of the packaging, please place in a dish to thaw. Wagyu beef takes less time to cook due to its fat content. Also, less is more when it comes to seasoning, searing, and grilling this high quality meat. INDIVIDUAL APPLIANCE TEMPERATURE MAY VARY THE COOKING TIME. USE CAUTION AS PRODUCT WILL BE HOT!

Grill

How to Grill Wagyu Ribeye

Preheat grill to high. Pat steaks dry with paper towel and then brush on both sides with butter or oil, season with fresh sea salt and black pepper and grill on high for 8-10 minutes (flipping halfway through) or until the internal temperature registers 5-10°F lower than your desired doneness (see internal temperature guidelines below).

Let the steaks rest for 3-5 minutes prior to serving. Temperature will continue to rise while resting.
Pan Fry

How to Pan Fry Wagyu Ribeye

Preheat a heavy non-stick skillet over medium heat until hot, for about 5 minutes. A very hot pan delivers the best seared steak. Season steaks and place in the hot skillet. Do not overcrowd, cover the pan or add oil/water.

Sear for 8-10 minutes (flipping halfway through) or until the internal temperature registers 5-10°F lower than your desired doneness (see internal temperature guidelines below).

Let the beef rest for 3-5 minutes prior to serving. Temperature will continue to rise while resting.
