Best Ways to Cook

We recommend that all our meat products be thawed out of packaging for 24 hours in the refrigerator prior to cooking (unless otherwise stated). Here at Sealand Quality Foods, our meat is extremely lean, saving you up to 20% cooking time. Give one of these simple cooking methods a try today. INDIVIDUAL APPLIANCE TEMPERATURE MAY VARY THE COOKING TIME. USE CAUTION AS PRODUCT WILL BE HOT!

Grill

How to Grill Lamb Spiedini

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F. Remove the thawed lamb spiedini from their packaging and lightly brush them with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance browning. Season the lamb with your desired spices and herbs. Place the skewers on the preheated grill and close the lid. Cook for approximately 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb reaches your desired level of doneness (see internal temperature guide below). Once cooked, remove the lamb spiedini from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
Bake

How to Bake Lamb Spiedini

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Place thawed lamb skewers on a foil-lined baking tray and bake for 5-7 minutes, turning frequently until the meat is browned and reaches your desired level of doneness (see internal temperature guide below). Once cooked, remove the lamb spiedini from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes.

Internal Temperature Guidelines for Cooking Lamb

Your lamb will continue to cook and rise a further 5-10°F while resting. To accurately check the temperature, measure with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat. Below are the internal temperatures for lamb by doneness:

Medium-rare: 145°F
Medium: 160°F
Well done: 170°F

Cooking times and temperatures may vary based on the method of preparation and your desired degree of doneness. Test for doneness with a meat thermometer.
